Junior Media Operations Executive

What we're looking for

HEKA Insights is looking for a Junior Media Operations Executive to join our Media Operations team in Cairo. You will monitor media coverage, identify relevant stories and help prepare accurate client alerts and daily reports. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Key Responsibilities 06

• Monitor news, TV, radio and social media for assigned clients, identifying relevant coverage against each client brief.

• Tag coverage for mention type, sentiment and priority, and flag syndicated stories.

• Prepare clear, accurate client alerts within agreed deadlines and follow up on delivery issues.

• Escalate urgent or sensitive coverage, errors and tool issues to senior colleagues or the Team Leader.

• Compile daily reports and support straightforward client data requests.

• Check each item carefully and apply client briefs, tagging rules and alert templates consistently.

Requirements 07

• A university degree in mass communication, media, journalism, languages, business administration, marketing or a related field.

• No minimum years of experience are required; this is an entry-level role.

• Strong attention to detail, research skills and analytical ability.

• An understanding of media outlets, news agencies, syndication and social platforms.

• Clear written English and Arabic.

• Flexibility to work shifts within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and public holidays.

• A careful, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn and report mistakes or uncertainty early.

Preferred Qualifications 03

• German language proficiency at B1 level.

• Basic knowledge of a programming language, such as Python or Java. This is an advantage, not a requirement.

• Relevant training in media monitoring, data analysis, data processing or social media.
