HEKA Insights is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Editorial Executive to join our dynamic team in Cairo. This full-time role requires expertise in editorial analysis, content curation, and reporting. The Editorial executive will be responsible for evaluating news articles from multiple sources, selecting the most relevant content based on client requirements, and compiling comprehensive reports and summaries for client newsletters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional language proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work across diverse topics and industries. Key Responsibilities:
  • Editorial Analysis: Assess and evaluate news articles from various sources, ensuring content relevance, accuracy, and editorial integrity.
  • Content Curation: Select the most pertinent news articles based on client-specific requirements and industry relevance.
  • Summarization & Reporting: Develop clear, concise, and insightful article summaries for inclusion in structured client reports and newsletters.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Review and refine newsletter reports to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to editorial standards.
  • Fact-Checking & Verification: Ensure the credibility of sources and validate information presented in reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of written communication, ensuring clarity, coherence, and consistency in style and tone.
  • Multi-Industry Coverage: Adapt editorial approaches to various industries and topics, demonstrating versatility in content analysis.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including analysts and content specialists, to enhance the accuracy, readability, and impact of editorial materials.
Qualifications:
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, English, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in editorial reports, news monitoring, content evaluation, or publishing is preferable but not essential. Candidates with strong language proficiency and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Ability to synthesize large volumes of information, identify key insights, and refine complex data into structured, digestible content.
  • Technical Competence: Familiarity with content management systems, news aggregation tools, and proofreading software.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect inconsistencies, errors, and biases while maintaining editorial objectivity and neutrality.
  • Adaptability & Time Management: Capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, covering diverse subject matters.
Language Skills:
  • Native or fluent English: Essential.
  • Fluency in one or more European languages: Preferable.
  • Fluency in other languages: An advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Background in editorial standards, media research, or content strategy.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with editorial and content editing tools such as Grammarly, Hemingway Editor, or publishing platforms.
